LEGO 10179 Vs 75192: — Brickset Forum

Work out which is more important to you and what value you place on that importance and you have your answer. If you want to retain an investment, keep the old sealed.

Just on the history, the build experience and the look of the thing. Any thoughts about money are purely logistical in nature. That is 10 times what the set would have cost you upon its release. It’s interesting to note that in both instances the set number referenced was 75192, and this would stick with any future rumours.Taking any possible clue and rationalizing it to justify a new ‘breaking news’ piece. This lined up perfectly with everything else they had seen. The prospect of this new release has me swinging between feeling either enthused or indifferent. Collectors will tell you that scarcity and the resulting prices come with the territory. Releasing new versions of an existing set in a collectors series defeats the entire point of the series. But hopefully beyond just switching out the shape of the radar dish.

The ultimate of Face-offs!

Comparing the UCS Millennium Falcon– 2007’s 10179 up against 2017’s 75192. The gloves are off!

As characters come and go, this ship remains to bare witness to all the adventures.

I do not know who you are but certainly you’re going to a famous blogger if you happen to are not already.

I don’t realize who you are but definitely you are going to a famous blogger for those who are not already. A theme like yours with a few simple tweeks would really make my blog stand out.

I do not understand who you are but certainly you are going to a well-known blogger if you aren’t already. Reading this post reminds me of my old room mate!

The surprise is the additional mini figures, but they come with a reason. Lots more details (some may say greebling) with less studs especially at the top of the mandibles. The cockpit sticks out a little more which is more movie accurate. The overall result is simply, you get more details closer to the movie magic. The answer is within some play areas under hidden panels!

To me the 10179 was like the holy grail, the best – the “ultimate” collectors model.

Lego 10179 Vs 75192

I get that it’s the biggest and most expensive model up to date and it’s an incredible opportunity for people who really want the model but missed out on the first one – like me. And most importantly – for how long will it be the ultimate model?

If you really liked the original then this will be a great opportunity to buy that, the prices will drop. If you want to hold out 10 years to see if they make a new one, that’s cool too. Not every set will appeal to every person.

I think this is a fact that is getting overlooked by many on this sub, and hype is probably somewhat to blame for it.

I wish it didn’t have stickers, but that’s not a deal breaker for me. The new one looks better but, for me, that doesn’t invalidate the look of the old one.

But they’re just broadening their market reach, and rightfully so. It is a great set, light years better than 10179 when it comes to details. This set was definitely the cream of the crop during those days. The escape pod (although no mention of it was made in the movies) provided a really nice touch. The triangular plates at the top of the ship could now be opened to see the interior. The starboard hatch lid could be pulled and they also added a boarding ramp for the heroes to get on board. They added a pilot’s seat in the cockpit and the escape port hatch was also modified, allowing the escape pod to pass through. It consisted of 985 pieces and was definitely a really great set. The cockpit was also modified, allowing access to the minifigures. It was originally intended for display rather than for play. The only parts that move are the guns and the spinning radar dish. This set has printed round tiles at the rear of the ship and at the four patches of machinery. One disappointing feature is the cockpit (marked by a sticker). It is a little disheartening, seeing as how its predecessor surpassed all boundaries in size and build structure during that time. It has hull plates that could be opened to reveal a detailed interior, rotating quad laser cannons, twin flick missiles, and a detachable cockpit cover. The other accessories include a cup, chairs, control panels, and game board. It consists of 1329 pieces and was released in 2015.

Lego Ucs Falcon Comparison

Seeing as I own both the original UCS Millennium Falcon(10179) and the new UCS Millennium Falcon(75192) I thought it might …

The gunnery station has a gunner’s seat and detachable hull panel with a rotating laser cannon. The weapons would include a blaster pistol, stud-firing bowcaster, and a small silver blaster, and another blaster rifle. Additional electrobinoculars were added to the accessories. The 75192 is also superior in size, build structure, and flexibility, being able to play the classic or newer versions. The prints are clearly more defined and detailed for imaginary role play. It is just massive and may take days to build or weeks if you are prone to make mistakes. The bags come numbered to speed up building process, but honestly it would be even more fun (and environmentally friendly) to get all the parts in one bag.
