Includes 5 minifigures: a locomotive driver, ticket collector, grandmother, boy and a girl. Join the ticket collector in the cozy caboose for a delicious cup of cocoa.
Includes dual building instructions for a perfect family build. Curved rail track diameter measures over 27” (70cm). It was quite an easy build, didnt take long and looks really great once finished. First off the price is pretty steep for what you get within the set and second is the size. It’s a really small set with not a lot too it. There were some nice parts you had to build like the spinning tree and the little toys were very nice. The piece count really doesn’t seem to be there even though it’s over 700. The inclusion of the tracks is nice though. There is another set that goes with this which looks cool but will hold off for now. That’s years of alternately salivating and hyperventilating at the ever escalating price of 10173.

As others have mentioned it seems like the power functions were an afterthought. The battery box takes over the coal car and sits out in the open. Basically it takes detail away from a train that was already lacking in visual appeal. If you’re like me and this is your first train you may want to add power functions, extra track and perhaps custom train cars.
I still need to add the train axles and connectors to make my own cars. It’s a complete train that comes with all the power functions pieces, the switch tracks, and plenty of curved and straight track pieces.
